About Project

lidosk 150

The EU Green Deal aims to make Europe the first continent to zero its carbon emissions / become “carbon neutral” by 2050. Since it is planning about 30 years ahead, The European Union's Carbon Neutral Continent long-term strategy is most relevant to today's youth. Today's youth encompass a large proportion of the decision-makers of the future.

D.R.E.A.M.LAND has emerged as a youth need due to the low political literacy of today's youth, their low influence on political decisions, and the insufficient representation of young people in national assemblies.

Developing Routes of Europe's future through non-formal learning with Active Members (D.R.E.A.M.LAND) project, formed by 8 youth organizations from 8 different countries, was funded by the European Commission within the scope of Erasmus+ KA3: Support to policy development and cooperation - European Youth Together call. It aims to raise and create awareness, make young people willing to participate actively in civil society and inform them about political processes. In line with these goals, the DREAMLAND project will be implemented in Belgium, Slovenia, Sweden, Italy, North Macedonia, France, Finland and Turkey for two years under the coordination of LIDOSK.

Our D.R.E.A.M. LAND project aims to enable European youth to collaborate and search for solutions to common problems across different cultures. As the first coordinator in Turkey for the Erasmus+ KA3 European Youth Together project “D.R.E.A.M. LAND”, we held the opening ceremony in Helsinki, Finland. Through this project, we aim to increase the cooperation and mutual understanding of European youth and to empower them to make a political contribution to their future through fostering leadership skills.

Day 1: Funded by the European Union's EACEA under the Erasmus+ KA3: European Youth Together call, our D.R.E.A.M.LAND project began with a welcoming speech by our President Osman Pişirici, emphasizing the importance of green activism. We then proceeded with name games and icebreaker activities to get to know each other. Following this, our trainer Arda Yılmaz Pişirici provided participants with information about the program and the DREAMLAND project. Afterward, Ege Erkoçak delivered a presentation on "Turkey and EU Relations." Evrim İşeri, a member of the CHP Konyaaltı Municipal Council, shared his experiences as a young elected official and his views on youth work, active citizenship, youth participation, and representation. Each presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session, where participants asked many questions about the discussed topics. We sincerely thank all speakers for their valuable contributions.

Day 2: The day began with an engaging presentation by Ramon from CoSE on how to conduct effective lobbying in the EU. This was followed by Ersel Erbaş, a board member of GoFor (National Youth Council of Turkey), who shared his experiences and strategies in youth rights advocacy. The day continued with a session led by Zeynep Tuğçe Çiftçibaşı Güç, Director of International Relations at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, on how young people can develop effective policy documents. Her insights and practical advice were incredibly valuable to all participants. We thank all speakers for their contributions and the participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
